What is the general opinion on the Taurus Raging Bull? I'm looking at one in .44 mag. I like it because it seems to be a very natural pointer, and the trigger wasen't half bad.

I don't own one, but have shot the .44 mag with the 8" barrel. Good shooting gun, very managable recoil and fairly accurate. The Raging Bull Series seems to be the Taurus with the least amount of troubles reported.

The .454s shot loose with VERY few rounds. Every one I ever looked at was pathetically sloppy yet had few signs of being shot much.
Buy a Ruger SRH if you are on a budget and want a long lasting big bore DA.

dads got a 454 6" that kicks the shit out of me
I've got a 41mag 8 3/8" that shoots like butter... The trigger is a little rough, but it goes where I point it with authority, I'm slowly working on it as well.
