I have read about AR mags and even shotgun extention tubes being able to stay under tention for very long periods of time.  What about speed loaders?  I use Safariland comp 1, 2, and 3 and was just wondering if I should rotate these out.  Thank you for your help.

My guess is they will do fine with such light pressure on the springs...I would not worry about it for at least 10 years...JMO

The spring loaded ones need to be cycled. I once had one that locked up and I had to take a screw driver to it to get the ammo out of it.

The comp 1 has given me some trouble in the past.  I sometimes carry a snubby and the comp 1 is the smallest.  The other's, comp 2 and 3 are too bulky to carry but have never ever given me the slightest problem.
