A guy at work found a .357 Mag revolver at a pawn shop, and put money down on it. He said the total price was about $200. He doesn't have it yet, and no pics of it, but here's what he found on it: Model - HW 357 Make - H. Weirauch on the bbl - 'Arminus' I found that Weirauch made some 2" .357s for Taurus, but can't find anything on the HW 357 model. |

Arminus revolvers were pretty common back when I was working at an indoor range in the late 80's early 90's. They were basic, solid revolvers, basically just a bit better than the Rossi, but not quite as good as the Taurus, and not even close to Smith and Colt... at least the ones I had seen at the time fell into those categories. For 200 not too bad, I just wouldn't be shooting 357 hot loads in a regular diet through it.. |

these were generally made post wwII. our market here is flooded with them. from what i can tell they are generaly thought of as low end cheap guns. generally used thick heavy frames as the steel used in production wasn't the greatest. i have seen and shot several. generally crappy triggers but usually go bang and shoot to POA. the going rate around here is under 100.00 in good condition. IMHO 200.00 is WAY high. mike |
