Thoughts?  Anyone own one?  Do you love it or hate it?

I'd like to hear about them as well. I'm looking at their .357 magnum and from the bits I've heard they seem like a good buy for the price.

I've owned three .44 Bulldogs and none were any good. Super heavy and gritty trigger pulls in each. The only way I could get pull weight to anything near acceptable was by installing a spring kit. Trouble was, ignition reliability went into the toilet. I also had one, a Bulldog Pug, lose its barrel shroud.

IMO buy a used, Ruger or pre-lock S&W for comparable money.

I've owned 3 older Bulldogs and I wouldn't part with them. YMMV

So what you're saying is...they are slightly slow, kind hearted and love their momma?  Or...that they like to run, leaning towards liking to run.

Had a bulldog pug 44 for 15 years. For a large caliber CCW weapon it serves it purpose well. I would not sell mine! Bobbed hammer, lightweight, pachmeyer gripped 44 hand cannon!

Over the years, I had two of the 2" .38spl "Undercover" models that I carried often as either a main CCW or a BUG. I liked them both. Not as nicely finished as a Smith or a Colt, but very servicable. Finding holsters were not a problem as they fit everything made for a Smith "J" frame. I have a buddy who has a .44 spl PUG that the barrel shroud came loose on. But other than that he has had no problems with it.

The Charter 2000 undercover has a transfer bar safety ,solid one piece frame and one piece barrel.       I think they went out of bussiness in about 2005,thier SS ,2 inch barrel with rubber grips went for 325.00!

I think that one could pick up a good used S&W or Colt for that price, pretty much put them out of the gun market!

I just bought one for 200.00 OTD.

I like them for just what they are(good,cheap,wheel-gun).

I spoke with their customer service sometime this year, so I don't believe that they are out of business.

I'm sorry I read that they went into bankruptcy in 2005 Windpedia or something like that!

I hope they are still in business!
