Was given an offer I couldn't refuse. $50 and it was mine. Has some surface rust, but for the price I paid I'll refinish it and make it a project gun. This seems to be an earlier model as it was imported by interarms. Anyone own one that could comment on reliability?

Not my first revolver. But certainly the cheapest firearm I've purchased.

Yep, had one of the early Interarms guns back in the late 80's/early 90's for a few years before selling it to a co-worker who wanted a nightstand gun.  I primarily shot 158gr SWC in it, never +P; IIRC, they aren't rated for it.  I carried it backpacking and in my truck a lot so it was a bit beat up but I don't remember any problems with it other than it looking worn.  I kind of wish I still had it to be honest.  I think they fit S&W 36 holsters.

ETA- At one point I had one of the old Taurus Model 82s as well; a Brazillian copy of the K frame Smiths.  It had been an armored car driver's gun and he traded it in on a Taurus 92 while I was working at a gunshop.  Never had any issues with it either.  The gunsmith there cleaned it up and polished it a little for me and it was a pretty nice shooter; kinda wish I still had it as well since it was a good gun to teach with.

Thanks guys! Yeah I figured it wasn't meant for +p+. Just gotta find a decent defense round for her... seems that a lot of people I talk to who used to carry revolvers preferred wad cutters.
With the finish being speckled with rust in spots I might do a cerakote job to her. Thinking of black and OD.

158gr LSWC was the classic police load.  Buffalo Bore offers a couple of non +P defensive loads but I haven't tried any of them.  Buffalo Bore .38sp

I'd buy that for $50 too.
