I just traded into a nice S&W Model 64 with the thin profile barrel. It is stainless with a 4" barrel and chambered in .38 special. It looks as if it has not been shot much at all. As I understand it, this version was made for only a couple of years:

I don't even see a turn ring.
Pinned barrel and a firing pin on the hammer, very nice!!!!

Can I ask what those are going for nowadays? I have a family member thinking about selling one that looks identical to that.

Great looking gun.

Thanks!

The turn ring is very light and it looks like there has been less than a box of ammo shot through this. I have seen them run anywhere from $350-$550, most on the upper end of that.

I traded the guy a 12 gauge Mossberg 835 shotgun for this one....

Oh my.  Nice trade.  Great holster to go with it too!

Thanks!

The holster is mine that I used for another S&W revolver (M-18). The target grips on the M-64 look brand new and I didn't want to mess them up, so I threw on a set of Pachamyr grips until I can find a set of S&W service Magna stocks for it:

That is a beauty!

That is how I want mine to look like when I get a set of the factory service stocks for it. I may add a Tyler 'T' grip as well........

Thanks!

I haven't had a chance to get out to the range with it yet. I have a buddy of mine who found a set of the service grips for it. I am hoping to get those soon.....

My buddy found a nice set of service stocks for my M-64 and shipped them to me. I got them today and threw them on right away. I think the pistol looks and feels much better with these stocks installed. Now I need to pick up a Tyler 'T' grip and she will be good to go......
