Yeah, I'm with you there.

I won't own safe queens, so it's beaters for me.

Actually, since it is a no reserve auction and there are 26 bids I'd have to say it is indeed $1200 nice. When you start talking 98-100% S&W revolvers with box, paperwork and tools, they go for BIG bucks these days. I would not spend it myself because I do not particularly like pristine versions except to look at.

Damn, nice.

Love me a nice K frame .357. My NIB nickel 19-3.

Also got a 66-2 but she's not a safe queen.

KAPOW!!!!   Super nice.  I love nickel.

I don't know if it's the view, but I don't like the 4" barrel as much as I thought I would on that.  I think it's the bigger grips......  I think 5" is ideal for that gun.  But I love a 3"-4" model 10................

Thanks, I love that 19. A 5" would be nice, it's about the ideal barrel length. Not a S&W history expert, but I don't think they made too many, if any really, in a K frame. I know they made a fair number of N frame M27's in that length, but they are hard to find. I found one at the last gun show, shoulda bought it.

They made a lot of pre-model 10 M&P's in a 5" barrel.

Got to have deep pockets to go the collector route these days. One of the reasons I like being more of a accumulator than a collector.
