Ok, confession time. When WC GP 100 came out I was somewhat skeptical of all the hype. I even said so on this website more than once. Went to the gun show last weekend. Found a new WC GP 100 for a good price ($660). I had money in my pocket, I had been contemplating a short barreled 357 for a while, so I figured what the heck. Stock GP could have been had for $550 but they have Hogue grips with I heartily despise. The WC also had the fiber optic front sight and just looked better. So I bought it.
Took it shooting Monday. Damn this thing is nice. Accurate. A complete pussy cat with 38 loads. The 357 loads are easily controlled. Muzzle blast is a bit stout but I knew that going in. Have owned a number of Ruger DA revolvers over the years. Trigger on this one is the nicest I've experienced. I know its supposed to be a stock trigger. If it is Ruger has upped their game in that department. My 58 year old eyes really like the fiber optic front sight. This is the first handgun I've had them on. I may have to rethink some others in the collection. All in all I'm really happy with it. No pics. It looks like any other stainless WC. Mine is an August 2014 edition. I suspect it may be one of the last batch built. I noticed TALO no longer lists the stainless version on their website. |
