| Buddy of mine wants to sell me what I think is a colt king cobra, blued, 2-2.5" barrel. Havent seen it in a while. 357 mag......what are they worth? He's asking 600. I don't want to resell but don't want to overpay.....only king cobras I've found are stainless. |

Colt did make blued KC although they are in the gross minority production number wise.
I have a blued 4" that I actually sold and bought a stainless 4" and then traded the new stainless to get the blued gun back.
I would be all over a 2 1/2" blued KC for $600 assuming it is in VG+ condition. |

There is just one on Gunbroker right now. With a buy it now price of $ 3895.00. So if you don't buy it from your friend real soon, chances are he'll sell it to someone else. King Cobras were mass produced in SS, and the common length is usually 4". It has the much desired 2.5" barrel and is in blue. Snap it up, and post pictures already. |
| He asked me for 600 so he's obviously happy with that. I've helped him out with guns and ammo and probably given him that much in stuff in the past, a month ago Ihelped him build his first ar with my extra lpk and buffer tube assembly and gave him a carry handle sight. Our friendship has no monetary connection. |

Geez dude --- do a little bit of research --- "don't want to overpay" --- Colt prices have been nutso for a while --- $600 wont buy a Trooper anymore --- might buy a Detective Special, but definitely wont buy any King Cobra if that's what it is If its a LAwman snub, and in good condition, thtas also a good price ---------- if its actually a King Cobra snub w/ blue finish -- 600 is a steal ----- The plain jane and ordinary stainless 4"ers sell for 1k now |

That .......... my friend , is the score of the day in my book ---------- you could double your money on that in a flash, but I have a habit of holding onto my Colts myself - the prices have escalated too much in the past 3 or 4 years , if I sold one and wanted to replace it later, I never could |
