I may be barking in the wrong woods, but.... I have a Colt SAA 2nd Gen in 357 that I'd like to have converted to 44 Special. I had a ruger old model 357 done a few years ago by Ben Forkin.... turned out real nice, but I'm now retired and can't scratch up the $2500 that it cost me last time. It seems that Bowen charges something like $1200+ for the same work..... and Clearwater would charge something like $150 to rebore/rifle the barrel. So, I'm looking for someone to rebore/chamber the cylinder. I have a finishing reamer so it would only have to rough bored, but its important that it be done on the same centers as the current chambers since it lines up very well, and the timing is excellent.
Any suggestions on someone to bore and rechamber the cylinder properly? |
