I bought a 4" blue Speed Six from a range for $100. It was one of their rental guns! There's no telling how many rounds have gone down that barrel. Apparently someone tried to do two at once because there's a slight bulge from someone shooting it after a bullet lodged in the barrel. They let me try it before I bought it and it shot great, so I figured "what the heck?" $100 for a decent shooting .357mag is a good deal, and after all that abuse, it sure is strong enough to outlast me. I like the gun quite a bit, as it has character. I really like the old Rugers over the new GPs. The GPs are just too heavy. Ross |
