I have the opportunity to buy this...

for $300. I know very little about revolvers and I just want to know if it's worth it.

Here in north Fl. that set up would be worth 450. or a little more. 300 sounds like a good deal to me. I cant tell the scope maker, but if its a high quality scope such as Leupold it would be worth a bit more.

It's difficult to see everything clearly in your picture, but from what I can tell it looks like a good deal.

It's worth that, and more. Also ask about the factory grips and check to see if that mount required drilling holes in the top strap. That looks like a red dot sight? Nice wood case too.

I will ask about the grips when I go look at it this weekend. Also does it matter if the top strap has been drilled? I don't know if has or not, I haven't seen the gun in person yet just that photo the guy sent me.

I already reload 44 mag for my lever gun so i figure this would be a nice addition to the family.

The additonal holes in the top strap only matter for cosmetics and potential resale down the road. But you are getting it cheap enough.
