| i have never really looked in to revolvers. as i am more of a semi-auto guy. but, does anyone make a revolver that the cylinder opens on the right hand side? |

There's not much of a disadvantage to being a lefty shooting a standard revolver. I like the cylinder release on S&Ws better than on Rugers from a lefty perspective. Reloads are different, but not necessarily slower. You'll want to hit the cylinder release with your trigger finger and use your weak hand thumb to push it out. This will allow you to hold the gun by the cylinder (thumb through where the cylinder would be when in battery and middle, ring and little finger wrapping around the trigger guard to hold the other side of the cylinder) and manipulate the ejector rod with your weak hand index finger. This allows your strong hand to be free to go for a speed loader or load individual rounds. Your strong hand then closes the cylinder while moving to grip the gun. It's confusing to explain, but this video does a good job showing how it's done. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTT8qZkuWjI |
