I know this question might have alot of variables but here goes anyway. I have been considering buying another wheelgun, A local shop has a few older Smiths, he has a 6" models 25 with the presentation case for like $850 and 6" model 57 for like $725 or so. I was wondering what you guys thought of those prices?? they seem a bit steep to me but I will be the first to tell you that I dont know everything about wheelgun pricing anymore. I think he will work with me some but I dont know if he needs to work with me alot to make it a fair price. Thanks in advance

That's not too bad on the Model 57. There aren't just piles of .41 Magnums laying around. The 25 sounds a little high for around here. The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson will tell you what you need to know, and is very handy to have if one is into S&W wheel guns. In other words, you'd be able to tell by serial numbers if you were looking at something special.

Thanks for the reply, like I said I think this guy is a bit high and is probably part of the reason why he has all these nice wheelguns sitting around.
