I can't find deals on the wheel guns anymore.
I bought several for $250 from my local dealer just back in 07/08 I would walk in he would say "you got $250?" I would say yep and he would produce beautiful S&Ws a 28, 66, 34, 19, even a 17 he said I was the only one buying them. Then that stopped and they went into the used case marked $500-$700, and no one is buying them. I don't blame him for not continuing to give me deals just wish I could have gotten a few more. Good grab on the trooper too. |

Nice looking Colt Trooper you have there! Looks better than mine. I used to own a 6" blued version. Very accurate gun. Unfortunately, it was sold many years ago for bills. I really like the balance the 4" Trooper has. It is an accurate gun also. I mostly shoot .38 Specials out of mine. Magnums on an occasional basis. It has the nicest trigger break of all the guns I own. |

That Smithy is really somethin special. I've never seen one like that either.
I want to get another .357 wheelgun, they are a great caliber. I had a Dan Wesson that was an old State Troopers gun, shot like a laser beam. But it just didn't fit me worth a darn. I tried to get over it for several years, but ended up trading it off. Anyway, nice score and the Colt is very cool too. BD |

Good catch and I agree about the lack of love by most for the revolver. My brother and I were at the range Friday and today shooting pistols. I pulled my 581 no dash and started shooting. Well low and behold, I think my brother is now a in closet L frame fixed sight admirer.
As to finding good deals on revolvers, I have not seen a good one locally in a while. A shame as I love revolvers. |
