I have wanted a Mateba autorevolver for a very long time.  Does anyone know if the cylinder locks up for a complete seal with the barrel, like the Mosin Nagant pistol does?  The reason I ask is that it looks like an awesome platform to add a suppressor to, but of course that would be pointless if there is a gap between the cylinder and barrel as with most revolver designs.

This pic makes me think that it is likely there is in fact a good seal, but I have never held one in person so it I can't be sure at this time.  Thanks for any info.

No, the cylinder does not move forward to seal like a nagant. Awesome gun though, I would love to have one myself.

Cell phone pic, gun show, priced $1399.
Mateba carbine, believe it was chambered in .357 Mag.

No the chamber isn't like a Nagant. It just fires out of the 6 o'clock position. The recoil is strait back instead of up like other revolvers firing out of the 12 o'clock position. I actually found it to be uncomfortable.  I owned two of them recently, both .44s.  I sold them b/c I made about $1K on the pair and I like shooting my redhawk much better.  They only reason to own one  IMO is for the cool factor.
