It is hard to tell from pictures but how are a P95 slide rails embedded into the polymer frame?  Are they embedded like a Glock or a seperate aluminum piece like a Kel-Tec or Sig P250?  All the pictures I can find make the rails look like they are just polymer.

Just poly, Ruger realized that if they made them twice as thick they didn't need the inserts.  Habe never seen a case of rail wear with a P95 and doubt there ever will be.

Hmmm.  Not sure how I feel about that.  I was going to pick up a P95 9mm for cheap but now an aluminum framed P90 or a P345 looks like a better option.

Seen it.  Not saying it happens often, but I have seen the rails fail.

Ruger did a 20,000 round test on the P95 and there was no evidence of wear so they stopped. I doubt you'll have any problems of that sort. I just put money down on one myself just today after reading so many great reviews of people using them quite a bit.

Im a P345 owner same poly frame rails my man.  no where near 20,000 rounds in it but would trust it till the end.  Not the most refind weapon( wish for a better trigger, or at least a reputable smith that will work one) but a real good gun and a great value.

Yes, the P95 is no tribble with the rail setup. The next step down in pricing is Saturday Night Special, so indulging the P95 is a no brainer.

I have about 3,000 rounds thru my P95 and it shows no wear any place. It seems to be practically indestructible.
