I skimmed the manual and couldn't find out if it is safe/OK to use +P ammo in my Ruger P89 or my PC9.  Anybody know for sure?  Thanks!

In the P89 it is no problem.  Not sure on the PC9.  Give Ruger a call and they will tell you.

The P89 won't even blink with +P ammo.

I have shot a bunch of it in my P95 with no problems.  Maybe 1000+ rounds and its still like new.

From my P89 manual.

The Ruger P-Series pistols are compatible with all factory ammunition loaded to
U.S. Industry Standards, including high-velocity and hollow-point loads, loaded in
brass, aluminum, or steel cartridge cases. No 9mm x 19, 45 Auto or 40 S&W ammunition
manufactured in accordance with NATO, U.S., SAAMI, or CIP standards is
known to be beyond the design limits or known not to function in these pistols.

Well, back from the early P85 testing days, plugging the barrel and firing the gun...and the barrel didn't blow up.......so, I tend to think Rugers will eat +P all day long.

I've put hundreds of rounds of P+ through my P89 and it loved every bit of it!

I just clicked on this thread to post the EXACT same thing.

Thinking back on it, the reason I bought my Ruger was because they had the strongest barrels on the market. I load pretty hot for my P90, and it just eats it up.
