Went to the Gander Mountain to purchase a new Ruger Mark III Standard. Was kinda tired when handling it, but it looked real nice. The price was 169.99 + tax. Brought it home and looked at it very closely. Found it to be a Mark II instead of the "safety" laden MarkIII.
What a very pleasant surprise!!!!

Thats a great price. But why did you call it a "Ruger Luger" when it is not at all a Luger?

It's not one, I know, It just kinda looks like one. I'll change the thread title so I won't get castrated..

Don't let that worry you. I have always thought they looked VERY much like a Luger albeit with a very different operating system.

When I was a youngster the reason I wanted a Mark II was because it looked like a Luger. 30 years later I found one for a good price and I finally have one.
