Hey just recently purchase a used (but unfired) 7.5" redhawk from a coworker who needed cash...got it for $400! He
Was there a recall regarding a safety issue with their hammers? I thought I heard that but want to see if anyone knew before I called Ruger

I know the old bearcats and some older blackhawks did. That was for lack of better terms, if the firing pin is attached to the hammer. Ruger did away with that design sometime ago "if" not on all probably most of their revolvers.

Have had a Super Redhawk for some time. No recalls that I'm aware of--just on their single action "three screw" models. I think their website lists their recalls, if any. They are impossible to "talk to", at least in my experience. E-mail or letter only.

I have three Redhawks and have never heard of ANY recalls on the Redhawk.
