I haven't posted any in this thread since 2 pages ago. I always seem to gravitate to Rugers. I own more of those than any other brand - 6 rifles and 22 handguns. Ruger Model 6756, the 10mm Night Watchman. Although the original grips were unique and pretty neat looking, they were a little thick and not very grippy. The replacement grips are VZ slimline G10. Not the best picture, but I will try to get a better one eventually. Attached File |

Since the 17th round RXM grip frame is not available yet, I grabbed some of my wife's hair elastics to fill in the gap  this is done for feel, not for visual. I'm aware it looks like shit but I keep the shoved in my pants so the only person who would see it is my wife, and we've been married long enough that she's not looking in my pants that often Attached File Attached File Attached File With my wacky custom cartoon printed holster from Bordertown Holsters. Quick shipping and great customization options. Attached File A stolen photo from another thread showing the new Mec-Gar 18rd G19 magazine in the RXM frame. Not the best match, but with over a dozen G19 clones, they weren't going to match anything except maybe the OEM. Attached File I used to this technique several years ago when I had a Smith & Wesson 6946 and was using Mec-Gar 17 round magazines as the aftermarket magazine sleeve that was available was not compatible with the 15 round. Ghetto? Yes Reversible? Yes. Plus my wife gets new hair bands

I've swapped it on several different frames I've used for carry the last couple of years (G45, Dagger S, G26L size Dagger compact, etc). I wasn't planning on mounting an optic, so I sold the slide for $300+ (I think he was in California, so he couldn't buy the complete gun). I got $30 for the magazines I was never going to use, so $80 for the complete FCI and grip frame was worth trying out (I ordered it on day one of availability). |
