I recently picked up a new LCP. Is there any type of particular ammo they don't like?

I have a kel-tec PF9 and I learned after I got it that in general they don't like Winchester white box. Just wanted to check if there was anything to avoid before I go buy some ammo.

Thanks

The one I had ate everything, including WWB. Kel Tec guns can be finicky with ammo. and sometimes even the same type of pistol can have different types of ammo. it prefers. I have a LCP on order  and am looking forward to getting it soon.

Mine has fired a variety(jhp, fmj, etc.) of ammo with no issues.

Mines not new, purchased in 2012, not sure what gen. But it has zero issues with everything I have fired so far.

My LCP's have used a large amount of different makes of ammo in both fmj and hollow point and has been 100%.
These little guns run fine.
If it is ammo picky I would be surprised based on the two I own.

My LCP Custom with big sights runs 100% to date fed:

Hornady Critical Defense
Couple kinds of 95 grain FMJ
Lead round nose cast reloads

Fed that, it will probably eat anything.

It has also worked perfect with WW ST HP and Rem JHP.

First reliable .380 in half a dozen tries.

Mine eats everything.

I have noticed that I need to oil it to keep the slide running nice.

However the dry slide has never failed to cycle correctly, just a feel thing.

Mine has loved everything.
The only issue I have had was with some freedommunitions reman 100gr rnfp rounds. I guess the bullet profile was wide enough and the bullet not seated deep enough that a few (<10 out of 500) would bind in the magazine.
Since I reload I was able to seat the bullets a hair deeper to match the OAL of their working counterparts (about .005").
The rounds that would bind in the magazine all passed the "Plunk" test in the barrel.

I've never had any stoppages with any ammo I've used in my two LCPs.

I guess I'll be the dissenting opinion

My LCP ran just fine with any type of FMJ and Hornady Critical Defense, but it choked on Speer Gold Dots.  Doesn't matter how much I clean it, it just won't load the gold dots.  Not a big deal for me though, I just carry the hornady.

Mine jams 1 - 2 times per magazine on every ammo I've tried. Only fired a few dozen shots through it though, I'm hoping it'll break in and get better. This was unexpected because my LC9 has worked flawlessly for thousands of rounds.

I was finally able to get to the range the other day and put the lcp threw it's paces. I had some Remington and WWB and it gobbled it up.

My LCP Custom just crossed the 1000 round mark. I have had one failure to feed of a Fiocchi XTP at round 50-60. After that perfection. I have settled on Herters 95gr FMJ as my range ammo and Hornady American Gunner XTP as my carry ammo. The LCP gets carried daily along with a 10 round Pro-mag in my back pocket.

Mine do not like steel cased ammo.
Everything brass I've tried has been fine but no steel.

I've never tried any steel or aluminum cased ammo, but mine's been 100% with everything I've tried in it.

I have put 150 rounds of aluminum cased Blazer through my LCP Custom without issue. If I run across some silver bear 380 I will run it through my pistol and report back.
