Anyone have one?  I'm looking into one for my wife.  This will be HER first gun and I'm trying to get her a little more into shooting and her CCW permit.  She is petite and while she is fairly accurate with my 9mm Shield, she would like something with a bit less recoil (and an easier to operate slide).  She liked the feel of the LCP but I know due to size it will be more of a handful.  The LC9 I fear wont be any easier on her than the Shield.

Before anyone starts talking about how puny and inadequate the 380 is, please volunteer to stand a few feet in front of one and then tell me how it tickles.  I know it isnt the best round but a gun she can and will shoot is better than one she is scared of and/or cant operate the slide.

The lcp 380 i had,had a very long trigger pull and a little snappy on recoil . I like the Sig better but is a little more pricey.

Not LCP.  The LC380 is an LC9..only 380 instead of 9mm.  I've heard the LCP is a bit snappy, but since the LC380 is a bit bigger, I dont think it would be as bad.

I do not have a range nearby to test anything.  Gotta buy it to try it.

I had a friend buy one for his wife. His wife had very little experience with pistols and like the easy to rack slide on the LC380. At first she barely hit the target. After I instructed her on proper grip she started making pretty good groups.

I developed two different loads for it and shot it a little. I first noticed it will not lock the slide back on and eject cases on my wrist on starting load data, it is definitely sprung for SD ammo. Once the rounds were in mid range power and cycling the slide fully, the slide still wouldn't lock back all the time. After investigation we found the magazine follower was tight in the mag tube. It was causing the slide to not lock back after last round about 50% of the time.  If Ruger gets that fixed it will be a good gun.

Thanks for the info.  I read something similar on another board about the follower.  Could you just file a bit off?
