I never bought a revolver before, figure it's time, and like the LCR trigger and hand fit. But I am not sure I want to carry with something that is so grippy.

Are there other grips that fit similar to the Hogue on the LCR, but are not quite so almost sticky?

Not sure.  But I've never seen someone asking for less grip before.

The grips that come on them are great.

Bantam Boot Grips are available, but on back-order pretty much everywhere.    Haven't tried them on my LCR though.

There are also wooden "Secret Service" grips by Eagle Grips, but someone over at the old ElsiePea.com forums said the fit/finish is below par, and that they're on backorder and that Eagle wasn't exactly upfront about that.

I have the Hogue bantam boot grips for my .357 –– let's just say that I load it with non +P  .38's, it's that small and relatively slick. (I'm seriously considering stippling the sides of the grip to give me a bit more purchase.) But they conceal much better than the Hogue Tamers, as well as making pocket carry much easier.

My wife preferred the standard grips over anything else. On a similar note, I have the stock Crimson Trace grips for sale if you're interested

Being that there is no update in here saying you bought the LCR I'll offer this.

The revolver is 14.5 ounces empty, not much more loaded.  You might want to consider that you really do need something kind of grippy to hold on to it when shooting.  Your little finger will be hanging off the bottom and your ring finger will get varying degrees of purchase depening on the size of your hand as well as your grip.  A grip that wants to stay put in your hand isn't a bad idea with this little guy.

Load a cylinder full of .38 +p and let loose quickly, then see what your grip looks like with something that is smoother.

Just a thought.

They are good little carry revolvers.
