I have searched all over the place and I can't find this anywhere. Does anyone know how to remove the ILS (internal lock) from a Ruger LC9?

I know there is a tutorial someplace but I searched and searched and I just can't find it.

Thanks but that is instructions on how to remove the magazine disconnect. What I want to remove is the ILS. The internal locking system. The one that you have to turn that little key that they give you that locks the entire gun without the need for an external lock.

Given the design, I don't thing there is a way to remove it.  The Magazine safety, sure....the ILS I don't think so.  Looking at the design I don't think it's possible without replacing parts.

I could have sworn I read somewhere that someone did it. It appears to be a little cam that engages the trigger bar. At least it looks that way. Removing that little cam disk or something someone said, but I don't remember and I can't find it. Perhaps I am mistaken. It was a while ago but I did not have an LC9 at the time so I didn't play close enough attention. I was interested so I read it but not interested enough to bookmark it or pay close attention.

Looking closer, It looks to me like maybe you could grind the lobe down on one side with some careful dremel work and get the job done.  I'm not sure I would bother with it...but to each his own.
