I posted this question in the Walther threads and figured why not do the same here. I'd like to hear what both camps have to say.
I was hoping you all could help me out. I currently have a brand new Ruger P95 with less than 200 rds through it. I have a buddy who has a Walther P99 subcompact and hates it. He's had it for a few years but has hardly put any rounds through it because of how it fits in his hands. I was talking to him about how I think my P95 is too big to carry and I was looking to get a smaller gun. I was talking to him about the best way to sell the P95 so I could get the new LC9. He mentioned he had his Walther and that if I was interested he'd swap me. Both guns are 9mm. I like my Ruger but really want something that is less bulky. From what I can tell the P99 is a great gun but I don't really know a lot about the gun other than what I have read looking through the posts in the Walther threads. Any pros or cons about doing the deal? Anything I should look for or keep in mind as I look at his gun? He's offered to let me take the gun to the range and try it out. Thanks in advance for the responses. |
