From what I hear from people, half of the population either cuddles with their Kimber at night or they want to throw them off a bridge.
I had my first experience with a Kimber, a raptor 2, last week. My buddy bought it on his 21st bday last month and has 1500rnds through it since. We put 450 rounds of FMJ and JHP through it. it shot the 250rnd yellow packs of UMC, Fiocchi, aluminum Blaser, and federal all without a hitch. I was very impressed. Granted it was a $1300 gun and I would expect it to run like a champ but nonetheless, I was sincerely impressed. I will definitely add Kimber to the list of contestants for m first 1911. |

I think it simply come's down to number's Kimber sell's probably 100 1911's to every one Wilson sell's, So naturally thank's to the internet you will hear more problem's about Kimber's. I've got a Wilson CBQ the extractor broke before 1000 rds. & not a problem since. I would also bet most people don't talk about their Wilson if something goes wrong because if it cost that much money most don't want to admit they are not perfect. Nothing is perfect no matter what the cost. I did the same thing...I GOT A WILSON LIKE A LITTLE KID..when it broke I was disapointed but again the price does not mean it's perfect. Read Kimber's history & how they are using new technology to make them even better also scroll down on the page & read even more. Very interesting stuff! http://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=183961 |
