I bought my second Stainless Pro Carry II today but this one has the Cimarron Laser grips like my Cutom Covert II.  I am sure it will shoot just as good as my first one.  Love those Kimbers

I bought one just last week.  I've only had it out once so far but today I put some Meprolight sights on it.  Great gun, isn't it?

I said Cimmaron but the laser grips are Crimson.  They still work.  I also have Wilson mags, Chip Mccormick, and the Kimber Mag Tec which are great

I love 1911's & they have a classy look & legend  that follows, but I can not find anything classy about rubber grips &  rubber grips that wrap around the grip of a very nice 1911. But it is your's, you paid for it. Do as you please. ...IMO...:)

here's one of my 1911's & I have 2 Kimbers that I adore. This one I added  Aluma Grips & extended  Mag Wel. Please don't take this as raggin your Kimber is Beautiful, I just don't think rubber grips add's to it's Beauty.:)...IMHO

No offense taken.  I originally had that Hogue on a blued Government 1911 and decided that on the darker finish I preferred traditional wooden grips, at least from an aesthetic standpoint.  But with the stainless finish I think the black rubber grips look good.  And since this is my carry piece I want it to be as comfortable and natural in the hand as possible.  The Hogue fits my hand perfectly, so it's all about the function.
