spot of cold blue if it bothers you that much. All my guns get way more abuse than that - its a tool, not a Gucci handbag .

so the aluminum is just painted? wasn't sure if thats what it was so didn't want to just use the marker /out the validation, nope, not that worried about it and no, not a designer hand bag but it's not a hammer either

the black sharpie worked just fine, looks good as new

For future dings, check out the Birchwood Casey 'Super Black Instant Touch-Up Pen' in flat black. It is only modestly more effective than a sharpie in that it will resist cleaning products a bit better and matches the color a bit better.
