Anyone have one?  Fondled one at a gun shop & I think it looks like a very fine firearm.

Yup, I have one, and I love it. Its my everyday carry weapon, I have just under 2500 rounds through it, not one malfunction that wasn't magazine related. Its my favorite Kimber.

I bought one a couple of weeks ago, haven't shot it yet but it looks like a great pistol.  I wanted a simple, functional .45 and it fits the bill.  Only modification I have made to it was to remove the plain black sights and install 3-dot Novaks. My eyes are getting old enough that I can't see plain black sights once it starts to get even a little dark.  I paid $675 for mine, if your gunshop has a similar price I'd get it.

if it works, it'd be a great firearm

dont get me wrong, i have the TLE and its a great 1911 imo, but as of recently there has been an increase in the disappointments of kimber's QC and reliability of thier 19111s...in so much that some have affirmed that kimbers have become overpriced for what they offer and what the company's CS is if you need something

imo, if its for a good price and one w/ an internal extractor, i'd 'risk' it and get it

if not, i'd look to a Springfield Armory (thier lightweights are available w/ and w/out Rails, in similar loaded and MC configs) for top CS and overall (*arguably) better track record and luck w/ thier 1911s; and, you wont have to deal w/ the kimber's swartz safety

Springers must be popular-try finding one, especially the lightweight variety.

not yet

if you are still looking for LW SA's, i saw a few at gun broker; i havent seen one in the EE in a few weeks

if i wasnt so broke all the time, i'd do nothing but get more 1911s...so far, i've yet to get one over 900+, and every reputable, long time 1911 fan keeps saying to opt for the $1.5K+ brands (like RRA, LB, WC, etc) and i think i should one day soon

Very happy with the Kimber Tactical Custom II.  Accurate, just a nice gun over all.  Ordered a Milt Sparks 60TK for it.  +1 for buckfever34 in feedback.
