I have a Kimber Eclipse Custom II 10mm.  The gun is okay, but I'm having a hard time with the sights that came with the gun.  They are the fixed sight nite-sights that come with standard with Kimbers.  The sights don't seem to shoot point of aim, and hit to low (with all types of loads).  I am having a very hard with the HUGE white outlines around the nite-site vials.  The white circles draw my eyes (which are already old and bad) away from the front sight.  I am used to either straight black sights, Heinie sights, or Trijicons.   Anyone have any advice on removing or covering up the huge white outlines on the Kimber nite-sites?  I want to try to go the cheap route first before I spring for a new set of Heinies.  I hope getting a cleaner sight picture may help me to get the gun to shoot better.

Thanks,

I would try blacking it out with a black marker, if you like the affect, you can go with a permanent marker. None of my Kimbers came with a white outline, just the two dots on the rear and one on the front.

Magic marker right over them. Or get YoBo pro sights!

If you plan on changing out or adjusting the sights, plan on sending the slide to Kimber. More than likely they are in so tight that they can't even be moved.

This is not intended to be a wise ass coment, but have you tried to superimpose the vial/dot in the front sight over the point where you want the bullet to impact?

My kimber TLE R/L 2 shot about 8" high from the factory.  I sent it back to them, all they could do was put a taller front sight on there, it still shoots high.  Why dont guns come sighted in from the factory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
