So my primary carry gun is a Sig Elite Carry Dark in .45. I have been looking for a smaller frame gun to carry. I took a look at the Solo, the 938 and few others. Read the reviews on the solo and the issues with light primer strikes on the 938. Not looking to buy a 1000k problem.
I had feelers out locally and found a friend of a friend who has a NIB, never fired Tac UltraII. comes with all paperwork, case, extra mag (metal follower, will have to sell that from what I am reading), 3 boxes ammo, galco holster. I took a look at it this morning, indeed appears as not fired, guy wants 800 for the package.
Good deal IMHO as the gun new is 1300 and I can not find one anyway.
Any opinions on the gun? I am used to shooting 1" groups with my sigs at 15-20 yrds, and have read equal accuracy from the Kimber.
Give me some feedback, I plan on pulling the trigger (so to speak) on it in a couple of hours.

Mine is a great little .45.  That is a good price, if you want it jump on it!

I've had one, and carried it daily since 04/2007, it's a very reliable pistol and easy to carry. I bought a Raptor Pro II a few weeks before the Tactical, but it was a bit heavier than I wanted, both have been 100% reliable, feed and fire anything I want to shoot. I've had zero issues with any parts as well. The finish on the gun has held up very good, just slight wear showing on some of the edges. I carry it in leather.Just last week I picked up another Kimber, a Super Carry Pro to carry off and on in place of the Tactical, only because I wanted one with a rounded heel. Kimbers get trashed by some, but I can honestly say that none of the three have any type of FTF, FTE, etc. I already have 400+ through the Super Carry with no issues. You'll like the Tactical Ultra II, full length grip and the 3" barrel is a good combo.

So, picked up the Kimber, took it to the range yesterday. Their range ammo (18$ a box) is Atlanta arms reloads, so I figure if it will shoot this it will shoot anything.
Had an FTF at round 6. I cleared and in looking at the bullet, the case was bulged out right at the bottom, so it would not feed all the way into the throat. I set that round aside and kept shooting. first group at 7 yards was about 2.5" for 6.
I kept shooting, took my time and on the last 2 magazines at 10 yards, emptied the bulls eye of paper. A nice silver dollar sized hole in the target.

Impressions:

The trigger is awesome, breaks super light and clean, it feels like my Giselle SSA-E triggers in my AR's.
Accuracy is awesome, especially with the crap range ammo. I plan on feeding it another box or 2 of that then tap into my stash for some nicer ball. Then I will see how it likes HP's.

Recoil is much lighter than I expected from such a short barrel compared to the P220. It is smooth, easy to keep the nose down and returns to aim quickly for follow up shots.
I could not justify spending 1300$ on a handgun, but at the price I got it for, it was a steal and well worth it.
