I'm about to get back into the 1911 game and i'm thinking i want to give kimber another chance. I've narrowed it down to two choices, the tle II with rail or one of the warriors. I'll be placing the order soon. What is a good price for either of these? Well, which one should it be?

I like the Warrior, but either would be fine.  No Schwartz safety on the Warrior, which some people prefer (I could care less).  I say get the one you can find.

What's so bad about the schwartz safety?

Nothing, as long as it is timed right, which nearly all are.

The "Swartz" safety is actuated by the grip safety.  Which has the advantage of not affecting trigger feel like the normal Series 80 which is actuated by the trigger mechanism.  But it is reliant on properly depressing the grip safety, which some find objectionable.

I use a high thumbs foreward grip, and I have never noticed it's presence.  However, since my gun is a range gun only, and not used for SD, I removed mine and ground down the frame plunger to act only as a spacer.

Most issues, IMO, are caused by owners depressing the grip safety during takedown, damaging the frame plunger.

I like the Warrior my self.  Both are good guns.  I carry my Warrior for off duty jobs.
