If all current production pistols have recoil springs made for that caliber and load how can a D.E. pistol use the same springs in a .44 rem.mag &
a .50A.E. you would think the .44recoil springs would were out prematuraly when firing the heavy .50 a.e. cartrige  and the springs in the .50 would be to heavy to alow the .44 slide to work without failing to feed ,stovepipe,extract?

They use the same recoil springs (same part # for all calibers) the only difference in the spring kits are the replacement magazine springs that come with it.

Different sized gas ports would be my guess.  The breech wouldn't unlock untill similar presures are reached.
