I am going to purchase a GG&G rail adapter for my USP Compact, and am in the market for a light.

Obviously, the adapter opens up a lot more options than the proprietary system, but my main issue is aesthetics. I am looking for a light with minimal overhang. Not so much with the light itself, but with the actual mounting bracket, if that makes sense.

I have read nothing but good things about Insight, and I saw that they have the X2, which seems to be a tiny little thing. Their M2 UTL model is designed for the USP's, but hangs over on the compact.

My question is, would the X2 be compatible with the GG&G rail? I assume it would be. And also, has anyone done it? Any pics?

Here's a picture of what the light looks like mounted on a P2000SK, which is a little smaller than my USP-C.

Additionally, here is the manufacturer's product link, in case you're interested: http://www.insightlights.com/products-x2.htm

Or, my second option is to go with the trusty ol' TLR-1 and forget about it. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the input in advance, gang.

As long as you get the X2 or X2L that is for the standard "Glock type" rail (if there is a choice) it will fit the GG&G adapter.
