I am deciding on a rail adapter (full size) for my USP Tactical .45 Auto...

Any suggestions on which model to go with?

Laserlyte SCP811 $10.00
Promag PM063 $16.00
GG&G GGG-1133SL $51.00
Surefire MR09 $96.00

Have in my USP the GG&G that I use with the X300 and M3 light and works great.

I have not tried this one so cannot comment.

Promag PM063 $16.00

Works well but hangs the light pretty far off the frame.  This is my least favorite of the three brands I have, but if on a budget, it works just fine.

GG&G GGG-1133SL $51.00

Streamline, sturdy, and works exceptionally well.  This is the only adapter of which I have multiple units.  It works and keeps the light as close to the frame as you can get and it not overly expensive.

Surefire MR09 $96.00

Streamline, sturdy, and works exceptionally well and holds the light as close to the frame as you can get (sound familiar?).  The only fault with this adapter is price.  It is almost twice the price of the GG&G and I do not find it one bit better than the GG&G.  For my money, the GG&G wins and is what I have bought several adapters of for different pistols.

Thanks for your input, Big-Bore.  GG&G it is.

How well does the GG&G hold zero with a tlr-2? Also, do you know of any lights that would fit on the GG&G mount that are more flush with a USP compact and don't stick out as much?

Not the Laserlyte. It is total garbage.

The GG&G is rock solid.  As is the TLR-1 and TLR-2 that I have.  So the answer to the question is, it holds zero perfectly.  The new sub-compact lights made for the P2KSK and other sub compacts will not extend out beyond the muzzle as much but that has never been a concern for me.
For a really short light or light laser the Insight X2 and X2L are just the ticket for keeping things behind the muzzle.  Here is a picture of one on a P2KSK:

On the USP, USPC, or P2K it should not stick out past the muzzle near as far as it does on the P2KSK, even with the adapter needed for the USP and USPC.

Here's mine.  One problem I don't like.  On the full size USP I can't reach the ON/OFF switch with my trigger finger and it feels unnatural to try the support hand index finger.  I have to shift my support (left) hand around to the right to use the switch with my left thumb.  At some point, I may get the dedicated USP light.  Other than that, the adapter works just fine the light stays tight.  And there are no holsters (that I know of) that will work with this set-up.  Strictly my nightstand gun.

I use a Swiss made Brugger & Thome'

Extremely well made, it puts the switch within reach, insanely expensive and worth it.

Does anyone have experience with the B&T Quad-Rail?

I bought the Lasermax rail that looks alot like Scots.  It's a great, solid rail that I bought for about $30.

Where did you order that from and how "insane" was the price?

DS Arms is an authorized distributor in US.  Cost is $300, but is on backorder status.

I rolled the dice and bought 2 GGG adaptors from Botach, @ $40 each. They arrived about a week later.

WOW

looks like a great adapter but how the hell can they justify a price like that?

I have the GG&G mounting my TLR-2.  Works well and seems like a sturdy unit.  I've put ~ 1k rounds down my USP45 with it on and the laser holds zero pretty damn good.

Because It is SWISS!!

I sold two Sig P210-2 handguns for $1000 each more than I paid for them.
Had them for nearly twenty years.
Great investement but I wish I had one of them back!
$2000 extra stuffed in my pocket it was easy to buy a $300 adapter!
