Greetings,

Is it really that bad.  Do the 180gr. loads tame it down?

Thanks

It's no different that a same size glock

It's a little snappier than 9mm but it can certainly be dealt with.

I don't find it at all unmanageable.

Really, I don't find myself thinking about it while shooting. Getting on and back on target has never been a problem for me.

It's snappy no doubt with the round load and the short frame, but as stated it manageable.

Lighter than a Full Sized Baby Eagle .40 all steel. I Guess the white nylon doughnut thing in there really works!

I find it much more manageable than the G23.  Perhaps because the grip fits my so much better.  Maybe it's that little plastic buffer.

Compared to the G23 and the G32 the recoil of the USP .40 compact is nothing. I carried one for years and recoil was snappy with hot 155 grain loads, but not at all unpleasant or a hindrance. The Glocks had noticeably more recoil and muzzle rise.
