I know it is no 1911, but I had been shooting my 1911 a lot recently. I got my USPSA rig together last weekend for a shoot and on the first stage found myself sawing the trigger trying to find the reset. I now have finally realized how bad the reset is on the V1 USP. Is there anything to do to better this? I have an older USP that is not LEM-capable  |

YOu have some other options also. There is a Match trigger offered for the USP's for about $125 installed. This is the SA/DA model OR You can send it into the HK plant and have a Hybrid Match DAO LEM trigger installed for IDPA purposes, this will allow you keep it a stock gun in classification or something of that lingo. I prefer the SA/DA match trigger myself |

I've not really noticed a "bad" reset on my .45 USP. Forgive me for asking, but you DO know that you don't have to completely release the trigger for it to reset?
Try this: empty the gun, cock the hammer, pull the trigger but hold it all the way back. With your weak hand, rack the slide. Slowly release the trigger with your finger until you feel it reset. This is as far as you need to let it "off" to reset. My apologies if you already knew this.

I have a first gen USP, so I believe that counts out the match trigger and LEM, right? |
