My first HK is on it's way and I should have it early next week. I am pretty excited! I have a few questions about this model and would appreciate your assistance. If I wanted to do this, can I drop in a standard full sized USP .45 barrel in the Tactical gun's slide? Would it work? Besides Midway USA, who else sells these? I am not going to be getting a can for some time and I am thinking about putting some night sights on it for the time being. What kinds do you recommend? Thank you ahead of time. CSP Pictures soon. |

Yes you can drop the a USP barrel right into a USP tactical. You can't drop an o-ringed tactical barrel into a regular USP. Only because it will chew up the o-ring unless you deburr the slide's barrel opening. You're pretty much on your own to find an alternative barrel. Every now and then you can get lucky and see one for sale. One just went on GunBroker for about $30, but they don't come up for sale often. Personally, if you think a can is somewhere in your future I'd go ahead and but the tall adjustable night sights so you don't have to get another set later. The Meprolight night sights for the USP tactical will work fine. Otherwise, you can put any sight made for the USP on it. My personal preference is between Meprolight and Trijicon. I happen to have Mepros on both of my HKs. |
