I've never bought a gun online before, and I'm finding I need to have it shipped to an FFL dealer. I can find a dealer OK, I just wonder what they charge for this service. I also wonder if I'll meet with any resistance asking them to perform this service for me. I'd rather buy locally, but I can't find what I'm looking for here in town (USPC VAR 1 9mm).

Thanks

You'll have to ask your local dealer, prices vary, along with their willingness to do transfers.

Go look at
Gun Broker / Shotgun News  they have FFL holders listed that will do transfers and their fees listed. Sometimes you have to make sure the FFL holder will not accept a transfer from individual (their choice not the law) so be clear on where is is coming from so there are no surprises.

Pawn shops with a FFL may be your cheapest option. Most gun shops seem to take offense with doing a transfer as they don't make as much as they would on a sale.

Good luck!

Thanks, guys. I thought this might be the case. As I said, I would just as soon buy locally, but I'm looking for something pretty specific. I guess I'll do some checking and see hoe I'll proceed.

Thanks again.
