Anyone got one ?  How well does it slip into a front pocket ?  Looking for something for CHL carry.

Also, anyone got a link to a chart that compares the sizes of various handguns, especially the sub-compact variety ?

I have a pocket holster, but this is not a pocket gun in my findings.  It's too wide, and the muzzle is too long, IMO.  But the pocket holster isn't something I went out and purchased alone, it was an item for sale in a package deal.  It's a good holster for loaded safe storage, that's about it.

The numbers on dimensions for the SK are skewed a little bit.  Let me give you the quick version:

The dimensions that are important in concealed carry are height, width, length.  Height and width are the more important of the two to keep small.

The SK's length is only about a 1/4" shorter than the P2000 compact.  The height is about the same as any other double stack 40 subby.  The width on the number charts is where you usually see the SK fall behind.  But you have to remember that the dual slide stops are included in this measurement, and it's up to you to decide whether or not you think they actually add to the true width of the gun.  I feel that they don't.

In my opinion, finding a good holster is where the battle lies for concealment.

I have one.

It's not a pocket gun. It's slightly smaller and feels MUCH smaller than the baby Glocks.

That said, it's still a bit chunky.

For a real "pocket gun" you're going to have to go even smaller. Things like single stack Kahrs and NAAs in 9mm or .32ACP.

I have one and have never tried to pocket carry. Seems to bulky for that. I traded in my G26 for it and love it. I use a Comp-Tac Infidel IWB holster. Works great.

P2000sk is too big for pocket carry.  I carry my .40 in a Comp-Tac C-tac very comfortably, and can conceal it under a untucked golf shirt or button-down.  For pocket guns I have the Kahr PM40 and the S&W 324PD.

Piling on here - not a pocket gun.

It's very light & I've carried mine in a Galco Belly Band, a Victorinox 3-way vertical tote, or a Concealco IWB holster.

Suggest one of these with a .40/.357 USP-C mag for range sessions:

X-Grip adaptor

I think it's pocketable with cargo pants, not with most jeans size pockets.  I'd get the flat floorplate mags in this case.  It is pushing the limits of pocket carry however.

+1

a buddy of mine has a SK; it would go nicely on an ankle rig, or in a bulky jacket pocket, but not in most common front pants pockets--too much weight and bulk

if you are looking for a pocket gun, i'd recommend a SW 642 (airweight) for max reliability or a small semi (like NA, KelTec, etc)
