I read somewhere that it was possible for individuals to convert their H&K USP from, say, Variant 1 to Variant 2 and so on. Is this true? What all is involved? Thanks, CSP |

What switch do you want? Different switches involve different amounts of parts and skill lever. To go from a V1 to V3 or V9 for instance takes all of 5 minutes if you do it twice and only involves a $10 detent plate. To go from a right hand V1 to V2 you need a new control lever which is about $60 and you have to remove a few more parts to replace the CL. To go from SA/DA to LEM DAO or standard DAO (V5,6,7) you need even more parts such as hammer and sear, axle... So, depending on what you want to do it can be very involved, hardly nothing, and everything in between. Do a search here and on HKPRO because most of these have been discussed dozens of times. |
