I have been looking for a few months to locate a Knights Armament can for my mk23 with no luck. The only reason I want the KAC is because it and the B&T are the only two approved suppressors that wont void the " no compromise" HK warranty.

I am considering using an Un-approved can but before I do, I thought I'd ask around to those who may have experience with them.   Anyone here have a can on the MK23 ??  I would like to hear the good and the bad...  Thanks

The general consensus, is that the SWR HEMS II, is the best for sound suppression.

Its several hundred dollars cheaper, and its better at dampening the sound. Its a very high quality suppressor also.

I'm a Blackside fan.  I have had 2 copies of the Knight's cans and each one was inferior to the Gemtech in every aspect but price.

I have heard this repeated over and over again and again but I have yet to see this in writing from H&K. It certainly wasn't in any of the paperwork that came with my USP Tac .45

I could not find it in my manual either , so I e-mailed customer service at HK. Here is the response:

Knight's Armament and B&T are the only suppressors covered under our warranty.

I just bought a KAC suppressor from Only the Best Firearms. It only took about a month to get it. Price was fair, service excellent.

Thanks for the info.  I had contacted them a few months ago and they told me they didn't know if they would be getting anymore in.  But after reading your post I talked with them again and they told me they have 3 coming in soon.  I am now sending in my deposit to hold one

Thanks again

Another vote for the Blackside.  Thousands of rounds with no issues to date.

How would H&K know what can was used on the gun if there was an issue?

I dont know, I didn't know if there was a " class 3 list" they could access or ????
I had read on another forum where a guy said his slide cracked because the gun did not cycle and when he sent it back to HK they could tell from the type of damage as to what had happened,(unauthorized suppressor). Of course I don't konw if that is a true story or not, as anything you read on the internet.....   I may  be just worrying about nothing, it's just that I dont want to end up with a $2,000 paper weight

It's an HK - there won't be any issues!  And heaven forbid, if there was an issue HK wouldn't be able to tell if you were using a Blackside or any other can.  I've shot literally thousands of rounds through my Tactical and the threads aren't even scratched.  Worst case scenario 'your thread protector scratched your threads'.
