Is 540 a good price for a 97 usp 45c It has definatley been carried and shot. it is fairly dirty which leads me to think it was used a lot but its only 540.00 compared to 750.00 new any thought?

I don't know if this is a good reflection of used prices or not, but here is what I found last weekend.

I went to a show looking for a new one.  None to be had (in 45).  What I DID find was an AB code (2001) in case with 2 mags, the key, and all paperwork.  With the exception of just a tiny hint of finish wear on the breech face, I would have thougth it was new.  The magazines did not even show any wear from use or on the followers.

I paid $550 out the door.  Ist that typical?  I have no idea.  I just know it was a LOT less than a new one and was at least 98% and complete.

Seems to me the prices have been dropping a bit on used HK handguns lately.  I bought my full size USP in 45 for $525 and while not new, it was not any worse for the wear that it did have on it.  I think $525-$575 is about what an older USP fullsize is running.  Yours is compact, so it should run a little more that what I have stated here.   My question to you is what is the date code, how many mags?

My disclaimer before I am eaten alive:  The prices are from my experience both on the internet and locally here in Missouri.
