Is there any differenence in a USP 40 date code AC & USP 40 date code AF? The gun shop has S/N AC date code for about 60 dollar cheaper. |
The USP40 with the AC date code was made in 2002. The USP40 with the AF date code was made in 2005. So if you are wanting the newer one just pay the extra $60.00, if you want to save that $60.00 and use it for night sight's or extra stuff for it or some ammo then get the one that is three year's older. I have a 1995 USP45F that I got used and it is still running great with no problem's, so only you can decide on what you want to do and which one to get. |

Just got this information from another site. There are updates to the new AF (2005) .40 and 9mm full size USPs. Most notably an improved firing pin and firing pin safety to eliminate breakage. The new pistols are readily identified by a small 'js' next to the 'HK' on the slide. I don't think there have been any other important upgrades since the switch from land and groove to polygonal rifling and to captured guide rods back in the mid eighties. |
Let see the pics of old firing pin vs the new firing pin. |
