Local dealer gave me a deal on a NIB USP stainless.........$649.00+tax. I do not follow the pistol prices as I favor for the longrange tactical thing. So is this a good deal? He is holding it for me if I want it. Dealer is a good guy that I have know for years. $649 = good?? |
No down sides at all. Yes, there are upgrades. You can get threaded barrels from CCFA and other places too. You can a match trigger, like the USP tactical, but you will want to send it to an HK armorer or to HK to have that done. Even a $10 Hogue slip on grip is a nice little inexpensive upgrade to the pistol. There are also aftermarket sights that you can always get too. |
Well, Lauer Custom Weaponry can Duracoat your slide. They refinished my HKP9S in "HK Black" Duracoat. But I have to ask why would you want to Duracoat the SS slide? SS USPs are not that common any more and it looks nice the way it is. |
I agree that it does look nice with the SS slide. To me the SS is just harder to hide. I would prefer it to have an OD or dark brown slide. Sugestions? Other options for coatings? ![]() This is not a pistol I will be selling anytime soon. |

If you Duracoat that SS slide you should have your butt kicked. With all the people out there wanting a SS USP just sell the damned thing to them who will appreciate it and not mind paying a small profit and then get yourself the HE version. There is no difference between a SS and an HE slide except the metal and color so if you want a dark slide get the HE version then paint away. If you didn't want the SS slide I do not understand why the hell you bought it when you can get the HE finished slide all day long for about the same price or less and then with the HE finish you would not need to Duracoat it to make it more "tactical." Our shop has the full size USP HE in 9mm for $599 NIB and they are not the cheapest price you will find at all if you shop around. Go to HKPRO and put the NIB SS USP up for sale at $700 and it should go quickly then take that money and get your HE version to Duracoat. |
