I have a brand new USPC .45 that has only seen the winchester whitebox ammo so far.  Out of the ~300 rounds I've put through it, I've experienced this problem about 4 or 5 times.  Any ideas what the problem is?

thanks!

Use the search function.  this gets covered quite a bit.

I'd take alook at your grip...it's possible your thumb is riding the slide lock and preventing it from engaging the slide after the last round.

I tried searching first, but it looks like posts are purged after they're about 2 weeks old.  Not much help.  I will pay more attention to my grip next time.  Thanks!

USP and C .45s are natorious for bad mag springs.  Order yourself some +power new spring from Wolff and be done with it.  Sure HK will replace your springs but with what, more bad springs???  Get the Wolff springs and kiss your problems good-by.

One thought.  Did you clean the inside of your mags before using?  If not, clean them and LIGHTLY oil the inside with CLP and try them again.  If the follower was gumming up that may be all it is.  Clean and lube before buying springs.  I have not had any bad Compact springs myself so I would try that first.
