Need the cheapest, most reliable source for USP Compact 9 mags. I'm buying a P2000SK, and HK's website states that Compact mags fit. I would prefer the 13 round LE mags, since I have found the 10 round mags at CDNN for $15. The 13 round mags are $40! Would the extra 3 rounds per mag really be necessary? I know it's nice to carry as much ammo as possible, but I can't justify an extra $25 per mag for 3 additional rounds. Also, what is the size of the Compact mags versus a full sie mag? Are the full sie mags simply taller/longer? I work with kydex, and I'd like to make some mag carriers. If I can use my current USP 40 mags as a sie reference, that would be awesome. |
Compact mags are not the same as full size mags and the full size mags will not even go in a Compact. The full size mags are both taller and fatter. If you are making Kydex mag holders you'd better use Compact mags for the model. Keep watching CDNN, they had a hell of a sale on HK mags last week, but this week they are offering Glock mags. HK mags will be back on sale soon though. |

During the ban, I used 10-round .40 mags. They hold 12 rounds of 9mm, and they fit and function PERFECTLY. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise, I have fired jazillions of rounds through my 9mm HK compact with the .40 mags and they work 100%. ETA: I can't tell you for sure if the full size mags will produce the same result. |
