I don't know, where else to find out about the best guns made? Certainly not in the Sig Forum.

FWIW - Here are some potential causes of failiing to lock to the rear.

1.  Most common is probably your thumb position, if you are right handed.  Is your thumb riding the slide lock lever?  Try shooting left handed to see if the problem can be replicated.

2.  Mag springs.  OE?  How old are they?  The +10% springs from Wolff will probably help.

3.  Dirty mags.

4.  Underpowered ammo

i'll be sure to check on all of the above.the mags are clean, the slide lock isn't broken (i opened it up and checked),the springs certainly FEEL like they have plenty of tension, though my thumb may,in fact,be riding the slide release. i didn't really think this was the case, but i was dry firing it last night, and i do hold it just like a 1911,which puts my thumb right on top of it.plus,at the range a while back,my buddy (a man who seldom touches a 1911) and it shot it and locked fine for him.i figured it was a fluke, but it may just be the thumb thing.i'm going to try a new thumb position and see how that works.thx for the info, guys

Welcome to the wonderful world of Sig after using a high thumb hold on your 1911.  I started using the high thumb, and my P226 never stayed locked back.  I loved my Sig, but it had to go.  Fortunately, HKs have a nice place to rest your thumb, just like a 1911.

true.i definitely see what you're saying there.i love the sig and plan on keeping it,though. i do have an annoying personal quirk, though, with it (mostly because i shoot it the least,i think),when i shoot it from the draw (hammer down),and fire a pair,my finger always resituates on the trigger between the first and second.i don't know if this is because of the heavy pull or what.never had the problem with any of my other pistols or rifles. off the subject, are you ready for this? my hk usp .45 tactical does the same thing with the slide (fails to lock back after the last round).i usually shoot federal or winchester 230 gr through it,so i wouldn't think it's the loads, and the mags are spotless.any ideas,or do i just have really bad luck with slide locks?against, thanks for any info

one other thing...don't put a full SAW pounch under your shooting arm on a tacvest if you wear a dropleg.doesn't work for me,anyhow...totally screws my draw.lol.anyhow,moving on...
