Love my VP9, will HK release a VP45?

They're working on making sure it works on rainy days first.

Would be cool. Followed by a VP45T

No they're making sure it will hold up being thrown multiple times against hardened steel plate by some dick having a tantrum .

Now that's funny.

Let's not forget the tree trunk.

I am standing in line for it when they do. The VP9 sold me after renting one. The accuracy and handling was the best of any handgun I have shot.

I hope not, that's just design time and production resources not spent on a VP9 compact.

And then when questioned about it, he hides.

I'd buy two right now if they had one out.

I'm with you OP, just don't hold your breath for too long

I would bet they are holding off on a VP45, because of the likely impact it would have on HK45 sales.  The VP9 seems to have had a pretty big impact on P30 sales.

When I was at SHOT this year, I asked the HK reps if they had plans for a VP45 later this year and they said "it's not even on our radar let alone having it out this year".

A VP45 would be the only other reason to keep stocking and shooting .45 ACP asides from a 1911 for me.

I'll ask HK next year when I am at SHOT.

Ask about a VP9C.

I'd take a VP9 Expert or Elite

If they make a VP45 don't make it based off the current .45 magazine. Design it around a new (cheaper!!!) .45 magazine.
Tired of paying $47/mag for my HK45CT and USPC45. I have a dozen mags between the two and can't afford anymore.
I want to buy more guns. Not mags. .

I don't want them to make it off the current mag since I want more capacity.

Please do ask HK about it. I love my 1911 but the VP shoots and handles so well that a 45VP would be on my short list. Very impressed with the VP9 to say the least.
